Our client, a Fortune 500 Corporation, is in search of a Graphic Designer for an on-going contract located at their location in Mechanicsville, VA. This person will be responsible for the concept, design and production of print and presentation materials, such as, sales and marketing brochures, advertising materials, internal communications, exhibit materials, slides and multimedia presentations and website graphics
Responsibilities:

o Creates print materials, multimedia presentations and exhibit materials. Selects format, media, typography, photography and/or illustrations for the most effective means of communicating a message.
o Exhibits proven aptitude for producing a broad range of collateral materials, e.g. advertising, newsletters, brochures, display visuals.
o Exhibits experience in producing slides, multimedia tools and other visual materials for our various audiences, e.g., shareholders, investment analysts, customers, supplier partners.
o Exhibits strong design capability in producing large-scale visuals for exhibit booths in trade shows, investor fairs, etc.
o Works closely with team members in project development, which includes originating concept and choosing media, preparing and presenting creative proposals, setting realistic timelines, tracking project progress and completing project on deadline. Works directly with teammates companywide to meet their graphic needs.
o Serves as primary liaison with creative service suppliers-e.g. printers, paper representatives, and photographers in project development and production.
o Follows print projects from creation to final production, including sign-off on proof reviews, press checks, and obtaining quotes from vendors
o Maintains an ongoing project timeline that charts the status of all approved design projects.
o Maintains sample clip file of noteworthy publications and other creative products from other businesses. o Maintains computer-based library of internal photographs and library of stock and custom photography

Requirements:

o Up-to-date in current design knowledge and trends
o Able to develop creative concepts individually as well as in a brainstorm environment
o Self-starter who takes initiative and is action oriented
o Can multi-task and gracefully juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
o Possesses sound judgment to assess and prioritize projects based on business needs.
o Can balance the need for quick turnaround with longer term strategic efforts.
o Flexible and can deal effectively with changes in priorities or ambiguity. Ask questions to draw out relevant information
o Solution-oriented and can overcome obstacles to drive projects through completion
o Meticulous with design details and quality
o Exhibits strong knowledge of and experience in the following software: Adobe Creative Suite CS6, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver.
o Advanced skills in MS Office, especially PowerPoint.
o Video editing experience using Adobe Final Cut Pro or a similar program is a bonus.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
