Essential Functions Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, aptitude exams, and certifications.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs additional duties as directed.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other departmental positions.

Work environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment where higher levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected.
This is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
There is frequent exposure to moving parts.
Physical Demands The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Travel required No travel is required.
Required education and experience Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
5 years of relevant work experience, including HR experience (compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, talent acquisition, engagement, learning and development, and federal and state respective employment laws), business partner or generalist experience with data, analysis, trends, and reports; or any combination of education and experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
