Job Summary Responsible for operating a press brake to shape various types of metal.
You must know how to read blueprints/ enter (program) bend sequences and measure each step per the drawing specifications Primary Responsibilities Operate press brake.
Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
Use a CNC controller to input information into the machine.
Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints.
Checks height, depth, and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges, and other precision-measuring instruments.
Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
Work with tight tolerances.
Produce parts for assembly operations and Identify assembly parts.
Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
Program the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications.
Perform spot inspections of parts.
Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
Complete and maintain paperwork.
Set up light gauge metal.
Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum & regular steel).
Check the machine for defects and repair if necessary.
Ensure the machine is calibrated and cleaned.
Read drawings and blueprints.

Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
Operate a forklift Perform necessary maintenance and cleaning of equipment Inspect finished product to ensure it meets required specification Qualifications Mechanical aptitude Ability to perform mathematical calculations Read Blueprints Ability to comply with safety guidelines Strong problem-solving skills A keen eye for details Experience using measurement tools, such as Calipers, Protractors, Height gauges, tape measure Education and Experience High School diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience Must be at least 18 years of age Minimum 1 year of CNC experience Forklift experience required Ability to lift and move 75 lbs.
