As a Veterinary Assistant - Pet Wellness Advisor, you will be assisting with many aspects of the mobile operations including greeting pet parents, providing recommendations that will best protect their pets based on their lifestyle, assisting the Veterinarian during examinations, preparing vaccines, drawing blood and administering them according to Veterinarian instructions.
We offer a hands-on training program and excellent career progression! Our fast-paced work takes place on the WEEKENDS, allowing you to have lots of flexibility during the week.
We offer full-time and part-time schedules.
What we are looking for:
Must have a passion to work with cats and dogs! Comfortable with proper animal handling, lifting, and restraint, working with temperaments and breeds.
We offer on-the-job training, career development plans, and bonuses.
We need individuals that are punctual, communicative and detail-oriented.
Resolve customer inquiries promptly and satisfactorily to provide a magical experience! Nice to have - basic knowledge of vaccines and products - and if not, training will be provided.
Team travel weekly to multiple locations and weekend availability is a must, which can include some overnight travel.
All accommodations will be arranged by ShotVet.
What we require:
Must be able to drive a company vehicle for long hours and in various terrain and weather conditions.
Ideal candidates should have the ability to work for extended periods of time in the field.
Proficient in operating a mobile tablet is preferred.
Participation in certain outdoor clinics and activities may be required for specific routes.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
